Mat-Su Jail Mugshots Lookup
The Matanuska-Susitna Borough is home to three state facilities. Mat-Su Pretrial Facility is in Palmer. Goose Creek Correctional Center is in Wasilla. Palmer Correctional Center is off the Glenn Highway. Together they hold more than 2,000 inmates. Mat-Su also has two city police agencies and a busy trooper detachment. This means Mat-Su jail mugshots are held by many offices, not just one.
The fastest way to find an inmate is VINE. It is free and runs all day. Go to vinelink.com or call 1-800-247-9763. Search by name. VINE shows the facility, the charges, and any photo on file. For Mat-Su arrestees, the first stop is often Mat-Su Pretrial. Longer-term inmates then move to Goose Creek or Palmer CC. Women may go to Hiland Mountain in Eagle River.
Mat-Su jail mugshots from police bookings sit with the city or trooper agency. For state prison bookings, the file goes to the Alaska Department of Corrections. To get a booking photo, you file a public records request with the right office. Name the booking number if you have one. Ask for "booking photograph" in plain terms. Release is subject to AS 40.25.120 privacy rules.
The City of Wasilla site links out to the Wasilla Police Department, the city clerk, and all forms tied to Mat-Su jail mugshots and Wasilla arrest records.
